New FAA Regulations
On June 23, 2014, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued an Interpretive Rule that outlines its interpretation of the Special Rule for Model Aircraft that was included in the FAA Reauthorization and Modernization Act of 2012. The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) has significant concerns about the FAA’s interpretation of many of the stipulations in the law. They’ve outlined some of those concerns and how the FAA’s interpretation of the law may effect aeromodelers.
You only have 3 days left to submit comments to the FAA on the proposed regulations affecting model aviation.
